The BEST 10 NIGHTS of the year is here! 



All praises is due to Allah, and may endless blessings be upon His Beloved Messenger Muhammad, his Kin, and his Companions.



Alhamdulillah, we are given a chance yet again to meet the last 10 nights of Ramadhan, the final nights that are full of unimaginable blessings, opportunities for huge rewards and a chance to attain Allah’s unlimited Mercy and Bounties.

Even though during this Circuit Breaker period, with us having to stay at home and with masjid-masjid still closing its door &#8211; let&#8217;s not make this a reason for us loosen or slacken on our Ibadah. In fact, this situation actually allows us to spend more time with Him. Let&#8217;s see, if we minus the time we spent on journey to work, to bazaar etc, didn&#8217;t we have the extra time and energy to spend? And during this great month of Ramadhan, the best way to spend it is on good deeds which are multiplied generously by Allah swt. 



So, mari sama-sama set aside our laziness and dilly-dallying (it&#8217;s a reminder more to myself 😓) If the past 20 days, we are somewhat lacking, we can make it up on these final 10 days. What if the past 20 days we have done our best? I would say <s>keep it up</s>, buck up and push your limit further &#8211; this is a moment simply not to be missed! Rugi woooi ~

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">1. LESS TIME ON SOCIAL MEDIA </h4>



First and foremost, this is the hantu that is never chained in Ramadhan 😁 It may seems trivial &#8211; &#8216;I&#8217;m just looking for a recipe for Suhoor,&#8217; or &#8216;I&#8217;m just ordering kuih raya&#8217; &#8211; the word &#8216;just&#8217; without realizing consuming more time than what you estimated. While browsing your Facebook or IG, with the thought of sekejap je ni, tapi bila tengok jam whuttt! da sejam lebih (or worse more!). Nowadays Whatsapp and Telegram can also be categorized as social media. Let&#8217;s rest that phone for a while 🙆

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">2. EXTRA TIME ON READING THE QUR&#8217;AN | ZIKR | DU&#8217;A </h4>



Add translation to that if you don’t understand, as well as Zikr (glorification of Allah), prayer as long as you can, and lots of lots of du’a. Even during the daytime when you have work or classes (from home), keep your tongue on the remembrance of Allah. Subhanallah Wal Hamdulillaah Wa Laa Ilaaha Illallah Wallahu Akbar. Constantly. Astaghfirullaah, Astaghfirullaah, Astaghfirullaah.

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">3. GIVE SADAQAH </h4>



Another virtue of a Singaporeans, is generosity, Masya Allah! Nowadays, we have seen many online platforms and apps to contribute &#8211; giving with the aim to help and assist others without expecting recognition or anything in return. Somebody has even made a list of our masajid (arabic plural of masjid) PayNow UEN for the ease of our community to do good. Impressive man! Let&#8217;s also remind ourselves that money is not the only form of sadaqah.

To command to do good deeds and to prevent others from doing evil is charity. To guide a person in a place where he can not get astray is charity. To remove troublesome things like thorns and bones from the road is charity. To pour water from your jug into the jug of your brother is charity. To guide a person with defective vision is charity for you.” <cite>Hadith Imam Bukhari</cite></blockquote>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading">4. SEEK THE NIGHT OF POWER &#8211; LAYLATUL QADR</h4>



Don’t trick yourself into thinking that you know when Laylatul Qadr is, it could be any of these ten nights. Do you really want to risk losing out on the reward of 1000+ months of worship (83+ years of deeds added to your scale for every deed that night)? 



How AMAZING is that? This means that not only could we potentially be forgiven for a lifetime of sin, but any good deeds done on this night gives us the golden opportunity to earn more rewards than we could in an entire lifetime.



Putting such focus into worship can be hard on our bodies. Therefore, it’s important to be strategic with your sleep and food consumption to ensure that you have enough energy to sustain your ‘Ibadah.



If you miss out on any sleep during the night, be sure to make up for this ‘sleep debt’ with power naps throughout the day. Be careful though; don’t sleep away these last few nights. Naps should be short and calculated.

Another form of sadaqah &#8211; motivate others to take these 10 nights seriously. 



Truly, the deprived person is the one who misses out on Laylatul Qadr and the blessings of Ramadhan. May Allah bless our time and accept from us on Laylatul Qadr. O Allah, allow our good deeds to continue throughout the year as a sign of the acceptance of our deeds in Ramadhan.
